Could be the son of Jean Nicholas Daree 1678 - 1740 Who married August 17 1700 Marguerite Boutilier 1685 - 1779

DIED: March 17, 1767
A farmer from Montbéliard who arrived with the original settlers on the BETTY which sailed
from Rotterdam on May 16, 1752 and arrived in Halifax on July 24,1752, after a voyage of 68 days.
With him were his wife, and 3 children.
His debt on arriving in Canada:
226 16 shillings for freight
_21 5 shillings cash
248 21 shillings total debt
1 man 1 woman 21/2 freight
2 free 3 freight -6 heads
They were victualled (list #6) Aug-Oct 1752 and Feb-Apr 1753 (list #849-53) in Halifax.
They were also victualled in Lunenburg February 23 - May 16, 1756 (list #403-07) with Pierre receiving half ration.
Nicholas drew a 30 acre farm lot North West Range b14 and in the second draw of 300 acres lots he
lot-Third Division D5 November 7, 1763. (Note: in National Archives MG23-C2 says "Nocola Dare drew lot DIV.E, lot 10)
