John Daurey or (Dawry)
The son of John George and Maria Christiana Daurey (Dawry)

Married: July 16, 1848 to Mary Anne Penall
He worked as a Farmer in the Mahone Bay District (Clearland).
Their holdings according to the 1871 census were:
- 530 acres owned and occupied
- 1 dwelling, 2 barns or stables, 3 wagons, 2 ploughs
- 100 acres improved with 52 acres in pasture, 20 acres salt or dyke marsh
- grew barley, rye, peas, buckwheat, 75 bushels of apples,
20 pounds of flax or hemp, 30 acres of hay, 200 bushels of potatoes
and 20 bushels of turnips.
- owned 2 oxen, 7 sheep, 3 cows and 2 swine.
- there were pine and spruce on the property.

In 1881 they were listed as age 60, with two single children and their son John Joseph with his wife Eunice lining with them.
